Woolgathering

[woo l-gath-er-ing]

noun
1.
indulgence in idle fancies and in daydreaming; absentmindedness:
His woolgathering was a handicap in school.
2.
gathering of the tufts of wool shed by sheep and caught on bushes.
3.
gathering of wool enthusiasts at Snowhaven Heritage Farm to indulge in socialization, fiber prep, spinning and other fiber pursuits.

Our next Woolgathering will be Sunday, July 1st at 3 pm.

We respectfully ask that participants “register” (check with us to be sure there’s room and introduce yourself!) before coming.  At this point, we’re still feeling things out to see how many we can accommodate.  Weather-permitting, we can also use the enclosed porch or patio area, thus accommodating more spinners.  Please be advised that we do have indoor cats, so if you have pet allergies, you may want to wait for warmer, dryer days to attend.

There is no fee at this time.  Wool, batts, supplies may be available for purchase, depending on what you need, but also feel free to supply your own fiber.  We may be able to help you out if you do not yet own a wheel, but include that request with your registration – wheel availability is limited.  We also have a few spindles available for use.  If at the end of the day you really love it, for $10 you can keep your spindle.
